Vcds Interface Not Found

Device manager recognizes it as 'Ross-Tech Direct USB Interface' and indicates that 'This device is working properly'. Tried it on 2 different laptops with same result. We've once before, and the original owner was able to fix it, but there was some debate as to how.
VCDS/VAG-COM is 'Not Responding' on Interface Test I bought a small netbook, an Asus EeePC T91. Usb library version 03.01.19 interface not found.
Is it possible you've used it with version 14.X, either Beta or Release, and are now trying to use it with an older release of 12.X? Once the interface's firmware has been updated with one of the 14.X releases, it will only work with 14.X or the very latest 12.X release (12.12.3). It's best if you if you haven't already. That's version 14.10.0 as of today. If that doesn't work, let's de-install the odd driver, and get the right driver installed. With your HUC interface plugged in, go into Device Manager and find the Ross-Tech interface. Right-click and bring up Properties, and go to the Driver tab.
It should look something like this, although this is with the correct driver: Then, click the Driver Details button and make note of the files and versions listed. It would be good if you can post those here. It would be nice to know where this strange driver is coming from. After effects youtube templates free.
Then, click the Uninstall button and un-install the current drivers. After that, un-plug your HUC interface. Then, un-install and re-install VCDS. It should install the correct, current driver package. Once that's done, go ahead and plug your HUC interface back in, and hopefully it will pick up the correct drivers this time.
Okay so me and my friend spilt a Ross tech Vagcom with micro-can cable and were having issues where cable isn't working correctly. We get the port status: ok and interface: not found error. After uninstalling the program and driver I was finally able to get it work and I went and ran logs in my friends Mkv gti. Came back went to go do runs in my rabbit and I got the error again. Now I tried reinstalling everything again only no go this time. When we plug the cable into the laptop the led stays green, when I finally got it to work it flashed red then green and worked!
Now no matter what I do I can't get it to show anything other then the green led. Plugged into the car, plugged into the laptop, plugged into both, doesn't matter getting the same thing. What's my issue here? I've searched on here and vortex and have come up with nothing.
It's a dell laptop running vista. I'm so confused!!? Are you running the stock tune or aftermarket?
Does not matter in the least bit. I have found with my Vagcom, when I use it the 2nd time, it doesn't make a connection with the computer. I have to unplug the cable, reinstall only the driver and plug the cable back in.
I have to do this just about every time. I also plug the cable into the comp first, then the obd2 port, then I turn the key. Once I see the vagcom light go on, I go to setup and hit test, once I see that I am connected, I go about my business. Any chance you used this cable on an 'unofficial' VCDS version. I heard rumor that using a cable (either genuine or not) on an 'unofficial' VCDS version could 'fry' your cable. Doesn't make sense to me. I don't know the details, but a friend of mine used a genuine cable on another friend's laptop and effectively fried his known-good genuine Ross-Tech micro-can cable.
